What this tool does
WhyTheyRank compares two publicly accessible web pages across a set of on-page, technical, and AI-search factors, and generates a written report including AI-assisted suggestions. It is provided as a free, informational tool.
Acceptable use
- Use the tool for pages you own or have a legitimate reason to analyze (e.g. competitive research on public pages).
- Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or automate mass requests against the tool in a way that degrades it for other users.
- Don't use the tool to attempt to access, scrape, or extract data beyond what the comparison report itself provides.
No guarantee of results
The suggestions, scores, and comparisons in a report are informational. Implementing every suggestion does not guarantee any specific search ranking, traffic increase, or outcome — search engine rankings depend on many factors outside this tool's visibility, including factors this tool cannot measure (like backlinks and Domain Authority, which are explicitly excluded from every report).
AI-generated content
Portions of each report (written fixes, content-quality commentary) are generated with AI assistance. While the underlying counts (word counts, link counts, header checks) are computed directly and exactly, AI-written judgments and suggestions may occasionally be imperfect or require your own review before acting on them.
No warranty
The tool is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhyTheyRank and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the tool.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes means you accept the updated terms.
