DMCA
WhyTheyRank respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.
Important context
WhyTheyRank is an analysis tool. It fetches publicly accessible web pages that users submit and generates a comparison report about them — it does not host, republish, or store third-party page content as its own. If your concern is about a page WhyTheyRank analyzed, note that we do not control or host that page; we only process it at a user's request to produce a report.
This policy covers content actually published on the WhyTheyRank website itself.
Filing a takedown notice
If you believe content published on this website infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@whytheyrank.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice," including all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on this website where the allegedly infringing material is located, described specifically enough for us to find it.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
What happens next
- We review every complete, good-faith notice we receive.
- If the claim is valid, we will remove or disable access to the infringing material within a reasonable time.
- We may notify the party who posted the material that it has been removed.
Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same email address, including your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.
Repeat infringers
We reserve the right to restrict or remove access for users who are found to be repeat infringers.
